UT Tyler Junior Paige Rebmann Revels in Student Opportunities

By V. Paige Rebmann, UT Tyler Junior

Soules College of Business Accounting Major

RebmannMy name is Victoria Paige Rebmann. I have always gone by my middle name, and I was born and raised in Tyler. I attended Bishop Gorman for high school, where I played volleyball, basketball and participated in track and field events.

I was originally planning to go to another college so that I could experience somewhere outside of East Texas, but I applied to UT Tyler as a backup because I knew they had a great accounting program with the additional one-year graduate program. I decided on UT Tyler after I was asked to join the track and field team as a high jumper.

I am currently in my sixth semester, and I plan to continue straight into the master’s accounting program and graduate fall 2022.

I started working as an undergraduate student assistant for the Department of Accounting, Finance and Business Law in my first semester of college and, between working with the professors outside the classroom and learning from them inside the classroom, it has been an amazing experience.

In addition to being a full-time student-athlete and part-time student assistant, I am the current secretary for the Soules Ambassadors. Before COVID precautions, I was also volunteering with the Young Life organization as a local “WyldLife” leader for middle-school girls.

I have really enjoyed my time at UT Tyler because of the amazing faculty and staff that are here, especially the professors. The Soules College of Business offers so much to its students, but the availability and passion that the professors have for helping and guiding the students is what I find the best part of our college.
