Scholar Scores 1570 on SAT

KinsnerJ.P. Kinsner, a student at the University Academy Tyler campus, earned a near-perfect score on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). His first-attempt 1570 score is the highest ever earned in the history of the district.

“This inaugural achievement is just another testament to the quality college-ready curriculum the district provides its scholars,” said Aimee Dennis, campus director. “We are so proud of J.P. on his outstanding SAT score, and we know that he will have a remarkable future.”

First created in 1926 by the U.S. College Board, the SAT is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the nation. The test evaluates a high schooler’s writing, mathematics and critical reading skills and utilizes a 1600-point scale.

The UA junior from Jacksonville, Texas, plans to become an aerospace engineer.

Congratulations, J.P.!
