UT Tyler to Offer Advanced Seminar in Government Contracting

The University of Texas at Tyler has announced that an Advanced Topics in Government Contracting seminar will be held Tuesday, Nov. 5, in Kilgore for businesses and entrepreneurs.

The training, hosted by the UT Tyler Soules College of Business Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute, is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Kilgore Economic Development Corp., 1001 Synergy Blvd., Suite 100—300.

Preference for participation will be given to financially healthy businesses in operation for at least two years and entrepreneurs at any stage who are interested in learning about government contracting.

"The University of Texas at Tyler is pleased to offer this training opportunity to businesses and entrepreneurs in the Gregg County area,'' said Richard King, interim director of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute. "The half-day session will provide advanced knowledge and tools necessary for success in government contracting.''

Major topics will include Technical Proposal Preparation and How to Do Business With Prime Contractors. The seminar also will include a working lunch. The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Institute serves as the focal point of entrepreneurship education, research and outreach within the UT Tyler Soules College of Business.
