UT Tyler Offers Free SAT Prep Courses to Help Improve Access to Higher Education

The University of Texas at Tyler announced that it is offering free Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) preparatory courses to help East Texas high school students prepare for the March 14 exam.

“By scoring well on college entrance exams, students have greater access to higher education because they are more likely to qualify for substantial scholarships,” said Dr. Laura Jackson, UT Tyler assistant vice president for government and community affairs. “UT Tyler is pleased to support the success of East Texas high school students as they transition to higher education.”

Partnering with Capstone Advising, UT Tyler will offer the course on its Tyler, Longview and Palestine campuses beginning Saturday, Feb. 15 through Saturday, March 7.

Courses will be held at the following times and dates:

9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15

9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22

8 a.m. – Noon Saturday, Feb. 29 (Practice Test)

9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday, March 7
