UT Tyler Congratulates Chairman Eltife on Reappointment to Board of Regents

The University of Texas at Tyler President Kirk A. Calhoun, MD, FACP, offered his congratulations to Chairman Kevin Eltife on his reappointment to The University of Texas System Board of Regents. Governor Greg Abbott announced today the appointment of Eltife to a second six-year term as a member of the board.

“Chairman Eltife is a true champion for the higher education, healthcare and economic needs of Texans, and we are the beneficiaries of that here in East Texas,” said Calhoun. “We are immeasurably grateful for his leadership and vision. Chairman Eltife has been instrumental in the unification of UT Tyler and The UT Health Science Center at Tyler into one institution. I am also grateful to Governor Abbott for his wisdom and foresight in extending Chairman Eltife’s term for six more years. We look forward to working with Chairman Eltife to improve higher education and healthcare across Texas.”
