New Freshman Scholarship

New For 2019-20

The University of Texas at Tyler offers several different types of academic scholarships for incoming first-year freshmen through both academic merit and competitive holistic review. We seek to enroll high-performing students with demonstrated potential that will engage with The University of Texas at Tyler in meaningful ways. These students will graduate and go on to contribute through career success to our East Texas communities and beyond. The highest level scholarship (Competitive Awards) recipients will be determined through a competitive process that places emphasis on the whole applicant, not just empirical data. Academic merit awards are based solely on test score, GPA, class rank, and/or region.

If you have questions about our competitive or academic merit awards, please e-mail us at admissions@uttyler.edu  or call us at 903-566-7203.
