Nu'uhiwa joined UT Tyler in March 2019 as the Case Manager and Conduct Officer. Since his arrival to the institution, Nu'uhiwa took charge of the Campus Assessment, Response, and Evaluation (CARE) Team; serves as a conduct officer, where he applies restorative justice techniques; and is humbled to continue his work as a Title IX Investigator.

Nu'uhiwa is certified to conduct investigations through the Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance; Margolis Healy & Associates; and the National Center for Campus Public Safety. In addition, Nu'uhiwa received additional training to address at-risk students in crisis through the National Behavioral Intervention Team Association (NaBITA).

Prior to his arrival to UT Tyler, Nu'uhiwa served as Program Assistant for the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards and Compliance Investigator and Adjudicator for the Office of Title IX at University of the Pacific's Stockton, Sacramento, and San Francisco, California campuses.
