Step 6: Get Off to Your Great Start at UT Tyler

Learn everything you need to feel at home on The University of Texas at Tyler campus: Participate in New Student Orientation 2012. Get great information—and have a lot of fun!

During orientation you will learn:

• How to navigate your new campus home and find key buildings and locations
• Campus policies and procedures
• Easy ways to make a smooth transition to college life and academic demands
• Information about organizations, athletics and other opportunities for students

You’ll also make new friends in a relaxed, informal setting. Parents are welcome, too: Take advantage of special parent sessions that run concurrently with student orientation sessions.

Orientation Schedule for Fall 2012

Session 1: June 14-15 (Thursday/Friday)

Session 2: July 12-13 (Thursday/Friday)

Session 3: July 19-20 (Thursday/Friday)

Session 4: August 15-16 (Wednesday/Thursday) This session is reserved exclusively for students and parents traveling 300 or more miles to attend.

Register now for New Patriot Orientation.

• Fees for orientation are $75 per student; $40 per parent; $20 for guests age 16 and under.
• Students will stay in student housing. Parents will need to arrange lodging in the Tyler area.
