The Office of Assessment and Institutional Effectiveness serves as the campus resource to support institutional effectiveness. Services include leading assessment planning and reporting as well as guidance to conduct external reviews, professional accreditation and regional accreditation reviews. All UT Tyler department and program assessment plans are maintained in TracDat software. Improvement efforts using the results are documented to demonstrate a continuing commitment to quality and excellence.

University-level satisfaction surveys for students, faculty and staff are coordinated through the office including the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), the UT Tyler Graduation Exit Survey, the Patriot ReConnect Survey and employee satisfaction surveys. The office collaborates with the Information Analysis Office to facilitate student End-of-Course Evaluation Surveys and collaborates on the faculty evaluation of administrator surveys.
