Alumni Profile

Carol Rizer

The new University Center is home to Student Life and Leadership offices, cafeteria, Barnes & Noble Bookstore, Career Services, Academic Advising, Student Theatre auditorium, Chick-fil-A, Subway and The Grill. Students have spacious lobbies for relaxing, studying or meetings. It's their home-away-from-home. Information Desk immediately inside welcomes visitors and students and helps serve to offer directions around campus.

The Muntz Genecov Library Garden is beautiful in the winter months, but functions for studying and relaxing in warmer months. Equipped with Wi-Fi internet service, students enjoy the peaceful atmosphere the gardens create on the west side of the campus.

UT Tyler Braithwaite Nursing Building and Meditation Garden
The College of Nursing and Health Sciences is the largest college on campus. Outside the front door of the Braithwaite Nursing Building is a Meditation Garden. The garden provides a place for students, faculty and staff to rejuvenate. Donations to support the meditation garden can be made in memory or honor of a loved one.

The center of campus is Harvey Lake. The park-like campus provides beauty and an atmosphere that is welcoming to guests. Turtles camp out on the edges and canoes can be seen crisscrossing the lake. UT Tyler provides not only a beautiful campus, but the individual opportunity expected only at a small private university – without private university tuition expenses.
