The UT Tyler Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry offers outstanding programs to prepare students for advanced studies and successful careers in industry, medicine, government, education and other fields.
Degree options include the bachelor of science in chemistry, bachelor of science in chemistry with biochemistry emphasis and bachelor of science in chemistry-teacher certification. The department also offers minors in biochemistry, chemistry and physics.
Each degree option is approved by the American Chemical Society, allowing you to graduate as an ACS-certified chemist. Graduates are well equipped to work as chemists, biochemists or teachers, or to enter graduate school.
