About the ECOM Program
UT Tyler Executive Master's in Public Relations
The Executive Master's in Public Relations (ECOM) will prepare you to meet the growing and rapidly changing demands in today's public relations profession. Courses will build on your professional background and introduce you to emerging issues and concepts in such areas as integrated marketing, crisis communication, health communication, new technology, and media management.
The degree is designed for public relations practitioners, journalists, and other
communication professionals who want advanced skills and knowledge to manage staffs,
organizations and modern media platforms.
Can I complete the ECOM degree if I work full time?
The ECOM degree is very flexible and the majority of the work is completed on your own time at your own pace. The program only requires a campus presence one week per semester. The rest of the semester is completed online. The degree can be completed in 16 months.
Admission is limited to 25 highly qualified students who begin the program in the fall semester and graduate after completing 36 graduate hours over four semesters. You are enrolled in three courses each semester, including one summer. Each semester begins with a seven-day on-site intensive week and courses are completed throughout the rest of the semester in an online format.
How do I get started?
