What is Patriot*Air?
Patriot*Air is an open/unencrypted (unsecure) wireless network at The University of Texas at Tyler. The wireless network uses 802.1b/g to allow the members of the UT Tyler community and guests to connect to the UT Tyler network using wireless devices.
Will Patriot*Air work on my computer?
Patriot*Air will work on any computer (Mac or PC) equipped with at least 802.11b "WiFi" Card. To access the secure network you must have a wireless card capable of at least 802.11b/g. Computers equipped with 802.11a/b/g/n cards are supported as well. If you have any questions or are having trouble connecting you may bring your laptop to the computer lab in BUS 101.
How do I connect?
Turn on your wireless device and select the Patriot*Air wireless network. Patriot*Air does NOT require an UTTyler or Patriots account for access.
NOTE: If you are a UT Tyler faculty, staff, or student, please use Secure*Air to protect your data.
