RICHARDSON -- UT Tyler baseball player Isaac Tijerina has been named the American Southwest Conference East Division Hitter of the Week. Tijerina helped the No. 9 ranked Patriots go 3-1 on the week, improving to 23-7, 9-3 in the ASC.
The senior from San Antonio went 8-for-17 with a double and nine RBIs to fuel a 3-1 week, including taking a three-game division series against Ozarks.
