RICHARDSON -- Kevan House has been named the 2013 American Southwest Conference East Division Player of the Year announced by the conference office on Tuesday. House joins 12 other Patriots who garnered top-honors from the league this season.
House, a junior from Whitehouse transferred from Texas-Permian Basin for his junior season and has not disappointed. The DH/outfielder earned the Player of the Year, East Division First Team Utility and East Division Second Team DH honors after batting .378 with eight home runs, six triples, 14 doubles and 42 RBIs. The 6-foot, 210-pound junior led the league with 109 total bases and scored 35 runs and was also named East Division Newcomer of the Year. More...
