RICHARDSON -- UT Tyler softball pitcher Kelsie Batten has been tabbed the American Southwest Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Batten, a junior from Huntington, went 2-0 on the week, improving her season-record to a perfect 8-0.

For the week, Batten pitched 11.0 innings, giving up no runs, totaling 11 strikeouts while walking just one batter. She also held Howard Payne to a .108 batting average, allowing just four hits in 11 innings pitched. More...
