Dr. Rauf Arif, assistant professor of mass communication; Dr. Mary Anna Kid, assistant professor of journalism; and Justin Velten, assistant professor of speech communication, will share their research at an international conference about multicultural societies on Dec. 7.

They will present “Incorporating Intercultural Communication Competencies in Higher Education” for the Communication in Multicultural Society conference at the National Research Nuclear University in Moscow.

“This speaking engagement is especially important and displays the relevance of our faculty research as it pertains to the heightened discussions regarding multiculturalism in Paris after the recent bombings,” Velten said.
