The first UT Tyler Honors Colloquium for the spring 2017 semester will feature local author Mitchel Whitington, Dr. Paul Streufert, executive director of special academic programs, announced.
The campus event will be 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31 in the University Center Theater. Whitington will share ghost stories he has collected from Tyler and the surrounding region.
The UT Tyler Honors Colloquium Series is an opportunity for students to meet and talk with local, regional and national leaders and scholars about topics that relate to the semester's courses within the Honors Program. The Honors Colloquium series may also include museum trips, service projects, productions and other leadership and learning activities. UT Tyler honors students are required to attend all colloquia to remain in good standing in the program.
