The University of Texas at Tyler will hold spring 2012 Patriot Preview Day for prospective students and their families 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, March 31, Sarah Bowdin, director of admissions, announced.

Check-in and on-site registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the UT Tyler Herrington Patriot Center. Activities throughout the day include campus tours, open and academic sessions and the university showcase.

Open sessions provide guidance in the overall transition to collegiate life. Academic sessions allow prospective students to receive information about degrees offered in academic departments. The university showcase will give both parents and students opportunities to meet UT Tyler faculty and student organization representatives.

Participants also will hear about UT Tyler’s many opportunities for student involvement, such as Greek Life; student leadership; honors, study abroad and Global Awareness Through Education programs; and other exciting activities to help make the most of the college experience.

Lunch will be provided.

To register online or for more information, visit Preview Day, or call the UT Tyler Admissions Visitor Center 903.566.7203.
