The University of Texas at Tyler’s sixth annual Greek Week is March 26 – 30, Brittany Childs, Office of Student Life and Leadership assistant director, announced.

Since 2007, Greek Week has united the UT Tyler Greek community through friendly competition and fun-filled activities.

This year’s activities include car window painting, lip sync, “can castle” canned food drive, a campus service project, Greek banner competition and field-day events. Events open to the campus community include a speaker in collaboration with the Campus Activities Board, faculty/staff appreciation breakfast and attendance at the lip sync competition.

For a complete schedule, visit Greek Week.

Current Greek student volunteers organize the event annually.

UT Tyler implemented Greek Life in 2006 and currently recognizes three fraternities and three sororities.

The UT Tyler Office of Greek Life promotes excellence in scholarship, leadership and service while challenging members to live according to the principles outlined by their own organizations. The office also strives to enhance the collegiate experience of fraternity men and women and their involvement in the Greek community through leadership opportunities, educational programs and other services aimed to develop the students through their journey of becoming UT Tyler and Greek alumni.
