In terms of enriching our region, The University of Texas at Tyler has two goals. One, we strive to make education accessible and affordable for all. Our main and regional campuses provide in-demand degree programs that graduate individuals ready to make an impact from day one.

The University of Texas at Tyler Longview University Center fulfills this mission. Our select undergraduate degree programs and continuing education options are convenient in terms of location and scheduling for residents of Gregg County and East Texas. Students from neighboring community colleges can benefit by transferring into programs offered closer to their homes. Our partnership with Kilgore College benefits students interested in completing their entire degree in one location here in Longview. Degrees & Programs

LUC is currently home to two bachelor’s degree-granting programs, plus continuing education courses, and expects to add undergraduate business and education programs in fall 2023.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Attend one of Texas’s leading nursing programs in Longview! Face-to-face instruction, simulation spaces outfitted with current technologies, and a full curriculum available year-round translate to 98% of graduates entering the workforce or pursuing graduate school after completing their BSN.

Transfer Pathways

Look ahead without having to retake courses. Our transfer pathways with Kilgore College create a seamless experience as students finish their associate degree and apply their earned credits toward a bachelor’s through UT Tyler.

A number of UT Tyler scholarships and those specific to students taking courses in Longview are offered to undergraduate students.

UT Tyler University Academy Longview

This K-12 charter school centers around problem-based, hands-on STEM instruction. Teachers provide guidance as students strive to uncover solutions. Students at the high school level have the option to earn up to 42 dual credits through UT Tyler.

Small Business Development Center

Located in the Austin Bank Building of the 281 Loop in Longview, the UT Tyler - Longview SBDC serves as a small business and entrepreneurship incubator for the region, connecting current and aspiring professionals with key resources. Use the SBDC to brainstorm ideas, explore funding options, retool your marketing plan, improve profitability, reduce risks or learn more about accounting or legal considerations.
