The University of Texas at Tyler Department of Technology offers an undergraduate program in industrial technology and graduate program in industrial management, which prepares students for a wide variety of management-oriented technical occupations. The Industrial Technology and Industrial Management programs are accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE).
Students in the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology program learn to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills to support industrial engineers and managers. Graduates are prepared for technical positions such as; plant manager, quality assurance manager, industrial engineer and manufacturing engineer.

The master of science in industrial management degree program prepares students for leadership roles in industrial, processing and construction industries as well as in business, government and education.
Graduate certification programs are offered in Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Supply Chain Management.

Graduates of the program are prepared for career success in specialized positions such as: surveyor, CADD mapping specialist, legal boundary law specialist, surveying and mapping company owner and licensed professional land surveyor.
