TSI Math Agreement

Students Eligible for MATH 0303 With No Co-Requisite

Non-Exempt Students who do not achieve the required TSI College-ready scores in Mathematics will be required to enroll in the appropriate math coursework:

  • A developmental Math course (MATH 0303),
  • AND a college-level Math course (MATH 1332 - Math for Liberal Arts or MATH 1342 - Statistics I).

An ABE Diagnostic score of 0-3 on the TSI Math Assessment makes a student eligible to enroll in MATH 0303 without participation in a college-level co-requisite course. Students with a TSI math diagnostic of 0-3 might find participation in MATH 0303 without the demands of a college-level math class more beneficial to their academic success.

Upon successful completion of MATH 0303, students will be considered TSI Complete in Math at UT Tyler and will be eligible to enroll in college-level math courses.

Please choose the TSI math agreement for your major and submit the completed form to TSI@uttyler.edu. Once processed, you will see a TSI Agreement service indicator on your myuttyler account. Your academic advisor will assist you in enrolling at your advising appointment.

If you have already been enrolled, you will need to contact your academic advisor to let them know you have made your choice concerning TSI math placement.
