Art

(BFA or BA in Art History)

  • ART. 1301, ART. 2303, ART. 2304.
  • Core Curriculum.
  • If you are pursuing the BA in Art History, take up to four semesters of a single foreign language and courses in your chosen minor.

Biology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry

  • BIOL 1406, BIOL 1407, CHEM 1411, CHEM 1412, MATH 2413, PHYS 1401, PHYS 1402.
  • Taking the courses above first is more important than taking Core Curriculum courses first.
  • Please note, the path to Calculus is MATH 1314, then MATH 2312 or MATH 1316, then MATH 2413.

Criminal Justice

  • CRIJ 1301.
  • Core Curriculum.
  • Courses in your chosen minor.

Economics

(BA or BS)

  • ECON 2301, ECON 2302, MATH 1324, MATH 1325, MATH 1342, COSC 1307 (TCCNS BCIS 1305).
  • Core Curriculum.
  • Courses in your chosen minor.
  • If you are pursuing the BA, take up to four semesters of a single foreign language.

English

  • ENGL 1301, ENGL 1302.
  • Two 2300 level English literature courses.
  • Take up to four semesters of a single foreign language.
  • Core Curriculum.
  • Courses in your chosen minor.

History (BA or BS)

  • HIST 1301, HIST 1302, HIST 2321 or 2311, HIST 2322 or 2312.
  • Core Curriculum.
  • If you are pursuing Social Studies Teacher Certification, GEOG 1313 (1303), ECON 2301, ECON 2302.
  • If you are pursuing the BA, take up to four semesters of a single foreign language.
  • Courses in your chosen minor.

Mass Communication (BA or BS)

  • MCOM 2307 (COMM 1307), MCOM 2311, MCOM 2340 or MCOM 2375.
  • Core Curriculum.
  • If you are pursuing the BS, take GEOG, ECON, COSC (BCIS) (6 hours).
  • If you are pursuing the BA, take up to four semesters of a single foreign language.
  • Courses in your chosen minor.

Mathematics

  • MATH 2413, MATH 2414.
  • Core Curriculum.
  • Courses in your chosen minor.
  • Please note, the path to Calculus I is MATH 1314, then MATH 2312 or MATH 1316, then MATH 2413.

Music (BM or BA)

  • Music Theory I, II, III, and IV. Aural Skills I, II, III, and IV. Piano Lab I, II, III, and IV.
  • Music Literature.
  • Up to four semesters each of Lessons for majors, major ensembles, and Recital Attendance credits.
  • Taking the courses above first is more important than taking Core Curriculum courses first.

Political Science (BA or BS)

  • POLS 2305 (GOVT 2305), POLS 2306 (GOVT 2306).
  • Do not take GOVT 2302 unless also taking GOVT 2301.
