UT Tyler School of Education
Addressing Pressing Educational Issues
Welcome to The University of Texas at Tyler School of Education! The School of Education faculty and students are dedicated to addressing the pressing issues and problems in today's education system such as closing the achievement gap, increasing literacy levels, meeting the unique needs of diverse abilities and language learners, teaching and learning in a 21st century global and technology-rich society, and working to increase the number of teachers in high need areas such as math and science. We have high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs designed to enhance the teaching and learning that occurs in diverse learning environments.
The School of Education's initial teacher preparation programs in early childhood through sixth grade, fourth through eighth grade, and secondary are nationally accredited by Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC). TEAC accreditation further validates the quality of UT Tyler's initial teacher education programs, the curriculum, and dedicated faculty. The accreditation also assures the public that the School of Education prepares competent, caring, and qualified professional educators. For further information about our accreditation, view the Summary of the Case.
