Dean's Welcome

Education is not preparation for life; education is life itself.
John Dewey

We offer a spectrum of undergraduate and graduate degree programs, and post-baccalaureate and post-master’s certification programs in various fields of education, psychology, and counseling. Our graduate programs include both master’s and doctoral degrees. Our University Academy is composed of three STEM-Focused K-12 lab schools.

The college partners actively with community agencies and schools in the East Texas region, which allows students to find quality teacher placements, internships, and practicum placements. Our faculty are award-winning teachers and researchers who provide valuable service locally, regionally, nationally, and abroad. We are here to help you fulfill your educational aspirations and professional goals.  If you are a prospective student interested in a career in counseling, education, or psychology, I invite you to join the College of Education and Psychology here at UT Tyler and we will enable you to accomplish your educational and career goals.  Please get in touch with us to determine which of our programs will be the best fit for your goals and aspirations.  I wish you the best in your educational journey and look forward to having you join our college.
