Nurse-Family Partnership
UT Tyler School of Health Professions is proud to offer a Nurse-Family Partnership program in Tyler. This national program provides specially educated nurses to regularly visit young, first-time moms-to-be, starting early in the pregnancy and continuing through the child’s second birthday.
What We Do
Nurse Family Partnership at UT Tyler School of Health Professions offers free support
for first-time moms — from pregnancy to parenthood.
The Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) is a free, evidence-based program that pairs first-time
moms with a dedicated, specially trained registered nurse. Your personal nurse provides
support, advice, and information to help you have a healthy pregnancy, a healthy baby,
and become the confident parent you want to be.
How it works:
- Free home visits during pregnancy and through your child’s early years.
- Health monitoring for you and your baby to catch issues early and connect you with care.
- One-on-one guidance on breastfeeding, nutrition, safe sleep, child development, and more.
- More than healthcare — we’re here for your future:
- Get connected to education, childcare, and job resources.
- Reach your personal goals, like graduating high school or starting a career.
- Receive encouragement and answers to all your parenting questions, every step of the way.
