Monthly Professional Development

In Collaboration with the Department of Medical Education

The Department of Medical Education will offer sessions on the 3rd Thursday of each month, from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm. These will rotate between Journal Club* and Faculty Development workshops.  In-person participation is encouraged, but a Teams option will also be included.  More information will be posted as sessions are finalized.

*CME credits are not offered for Journal Club.

    Promoting Psychological Safety in the Learning Environment

    Faculty Development Workshop

 Presenters: Katherine Stone, PhD; Halle Ross-Young, PsyD
 Learning Objectives:
 As a result of attending this presentation, participants will:

    • Identify the components of psychological safety
    • Discuss the evidence base for the promotion of psychological safety in the learning environment
    • Discuss methods for promotion of psychological safety as a faculty member, mentor, advisor, or supervisor
    • Develop strategies to promote psychological safety in the learning environment

In support of faculty looking to advance their careers in academia, the Office of Faculty Affairs and Professional Development will be hosting seminars to address the needs of faculty in planning for future advancement and promotion.

All candidates will be required to attend one training.

Chairs and Administrative Assistant P & T Training:  Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm. 

All P & T trainings are via Teams.

Interfolio (Fac180) Trainings

The Office of Faculty Affairs and Professional Development will offer periodic training sessions for faculty on the process for entering and updating Fac180 Profiles and Activities.  This system will be required for faculty with academic roles and those seeking promotion.
