Biography

Professor of Management at The University of Texas at Tyler since 2010 (full professor, 2019). Ph.D., Texas A&M University (2001). Previously Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University (2001-2008).

Current research approaches business education from a perspective informed by critical management studies and explores how ideology shapes discourse around competition, value creation, and inequality. Also writing on the political economy of work, generative AI, social dilemmas, and the boundary conditions beyond which competition produces dysfunction rather than economic benefit.

Published in Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Management, and other journals. Member, Academy of Management.
