- All food catered or delivered to campus shall comply with all applicable NET Health regulations which can be found on the NET Health website.
- Any food catered or delivered to campus must come from a NET Health permitted vendor. NET Health permits for all food vendors must be submitted to EH&S prior to providing food to UT Tyler. If using Grubhub - food delivery service, order food only from a permitted food vendor below .
- Food trucks permits will be issued from Texas Department of State Health Services as their current NET Health permits expire and with all applicable Texas Health regulations which can be found on the Texas Department of State Health Services.
- Inside Setup/Catering and Food Trucks will also need the necessary Certificate of Insurance on file with Risk Management prior to providing food to UT Tyler.
- Vendors bringing food from outside of Smith County will have to obtain a NET Health Temporary Food Establishment Permit prior to serving any food on campus.
- Potlucks are allowed provided they are closed events and attendees are strictly limited to members of a single organization or single department. Potlucks cannot be open to the campus community, student body, or members of the public.
- Bake Sales are not permitted unless they comply with the Cottage Food Law, information on compliance can be found on the Texas Cottage Food Law website.. Prepackaged store-bought items are acceptable unless purchased from an in-store bakery, then the NetHealth Food Permit is required.
- The Department of Environmental Health and Safety is the on-campus authority for all matters of food safety.
