Office of International Programs

The Office of International Programs serves as a Passport Acceptance Facility for the UT Tyler community and the general public. OIP is authorized by the U.S. Department of State to execute and mail-in Form DS-11 passport applications. Passport and immigration-style photos are available for purchase separately, providing a convenient service to anyone filing a government application, including international students applying for practical training authorizations. 

We are open to the public and happily serve our students, faculty and staff, East Texas community, state, and surrounding-state citizens. 

How to Apply

Book an Appointment

• Note: Appointments are only available to book two weeks in advance. Walk-ins will not be accepted
• Can't find an appointment? Search for a nearby acceptance facility.

Complete the DS-11 Application Form

Collect All Required Documents

• Proof of U.S. citizenship
• Proper identification
• Passport photo (available onsite for $15)
• Check or money order for U.S. Department of State application fees (see below)
• Credit card for UT Tyler facility fees (see below)
• Determine any special circumstances

How long before I received my new passport?

This depends on the processing time selected, either routine or expedited. Kindly note that mailing times are not included in processing times. Consider the total time it will take to receive your passport when you are booking travel.
