Patriot Promise Program

The UT Tyler Patriot Promise Program exists so talented and deserving students have access to a truly affordable, high-caliber UT education. Freshmen and transfer students with family income up to $80,000 and who complete a FAFSA may qualify for this program.

Do you qualify?

The UT Tyler Patriot Promise Program guarantees all tuition and mandatory fees are covered by scholarships, grants, and tuition exemptions from federal, state, and institutional funds. Eligibility is determined when a student has completed a FAFSA listing The University of Texas at Tyler and has been admitted for the 2023–24 academic year. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Be admitted and submit completed FAFSA by May 1, 2023

Be a Texas resident

Submit all financial aid forms with supporting documents by May 1, 2023

Enroll as a full-time student at The University of Texas at Tyler. The program will cover up to 30 credit hours per year

MAKING YOUR UT EDUCATION TRULY AFFORDABLE

Funds are only guaranteed for qualified students who are admitted on or before the May 1, 2023, deadline. Once admitted to UT Tyler, students will be automatically reviewed for the Patriot Promise Program; no additional application is needed.
