UT Tyler General Scholarships

There are several individual and endowed scholarships awarded based on a student’s major or career interest. These scholarships range in criteria, requirements, and amounts.

Undergraduate students must have a minimum 2.0 cumulative UT Tyler GPA in order to be eligible for a UT Tyler General Scholarship. Graduate students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative UT Tyler GPA in order to be eligible for a UT Tyler General Scholarship. Some scholarships require a 3.0 Undergraduate GPA and a 3.25 Graduate GPA.

Students must be enrolled in at least 6 semester hours at the University of Texas at Tyler during a fall, spring, or summer semester in order to receive a UT Tyler General Scholarship. Some scholarships require full-time enrollment (12 hours Undergraduate, 9 hours Graduate) 

Students who already have a Bachelor's Degree or are enrolled in the RN-BSN, GRALT, and CERT programs are not eligible for UT Tyler scholarships. Per the scholarship agreement, students receiving the Staff Development Scholarship, Employee Spouse Scholarship, or the Employee Dependent Scholarship are not eligible for additional UT Tyler scholarships.

UT Tyler General Scholarships do not automatically renew and require re-submission of your General Scholarship Application each semester via the General Scholarship Application link below.

Scholarship funds are limited.

    • Fall: March 1- May 1

    • Spring: Sept 15-Nov 15

    • Summer: Feb 1-Feb 15 (limited remaining funds)
