One-on-One Support for Your Success
The Academic Advising Center at The University of Texas at Tyler provides excellence in advising while building a relationship with you as a student and supporting you in your academic goals.
Specializing in freshmen who are first-time college students, the center strives to lay the foundation for your academic success, from recruitment to graduation.
In-depth one-on-one advising sessions are held with all incoming UT Tyler freshmen. Professional advisors assist students with:
- Reviewing degree requirements.
- Developing semester schedules.
- Selecting courses.
- Registering for classes.
Advising sessions for freshmen are held April through August prior to the fall semester and October through January prior to the spring semester.
