UT Tyler educates students who will contribute to society and make a difference in the world.

Small Class Sizes

With our 20:1 student-to-faculty ratio, instructors get to know students as individuals, not numbers. Mentorship and guidance are integral to your success: in turn, faculty are ready to meet with you during office hours and are available for discussions and to answer questions after class.

Student Success

We are dedicated to student achievement. We also acknowledge that each individual travels a unique path, and we support their specific needs at every stage through tutoring, supplemental instruction, first-generation college student guidance and more forms of assistance.

Community College Pathways

UT Tyler partners with community colleges to facilitate a smooth transfer of credits to UT Tyler degree plans. Our established partnerships keep students on track toward a bachelor’s, resulting in fewer retaken courses.
