The University of Texas at Tyler, in conjunction with NDMJ, LTD Transportation Services,
will operate a temporary shuttle service for students beginning Monday, Sept. 17,
Mike Medders, chief of police, announced.
The shuttle will pick up students from Rose Heights Church (2120 Old Omen Road, Tyler)
and will drop off students in Parking Lot 8, which is in front of the UT Tyler Ratliff
Engineering and Computer Science Complex.
The daily shuttle will run 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for two weeks.
“The University of Texas at Tyler is very interested in student demand for a shuttle
service so that decisions can be made for a possible long-term shuttle solution,”
Medders said.
The shuttle will stay at each location for five minutes awaiting passengers, making
each round trip every 20 minutes. Students are asked to park their vehicles at the
north end of the lot, farthest from the church building. The shuttle will pick up
passengers from that location.
