The University of Texas at Tyler will hold a Constitution Day ceremony at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17 in the University Center theater to commemorate the signing of the United States Constitution.

Dr. Alan Gilbert, noted author and John Evans professor in the Joseph Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver, will give a presentation based upon his book, Black Patriots and Loyalists: Fighting for Emancipation in the War for Independence.

A book signing will follow.
