RICHARDSON -- UT Tyler men's basketball player Joe Stephens has been named the American Southwest Conference East Division Player of the Week. The Patriots have won the award two weeks in-a-row, with Darren Houliston grabbing the honors last week.

Stephens had a season-high 22 points – including going 5 of 9 from 3-point range – and seven rebounds to fuel a 77-68 non-conference home win over Northwood and extend the Patriots’ program-record start to 7-1. More…
