RICHARDSON -- UT Tyler track and field athlete Ed Palencia has been named the American Southwest Conference Men's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week. Palencia is the Patriots record-holder in the men's javelin toss.

Palencia set the program record with a mark of 61.33 meters in the javelin to finish in the top 10 at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, Texas. More...
