The UT Tyler Veterans Resource Center will hold a military appreciation event during the Patriot softball and baseball games on Saturday, April 13, Amanda Bayatpoor, center coordinator, announced.

As part of “UT Tyler Celebrates our Service Members,” tickets to the softball/baseball games beginning at 2 and 4 p.m., respectively, will be free for all military service members (veteran, active, reserve, guard, etc.) that day. Baseball will play at UT Tyler’s Irwin Field, and softball will play on the adjacent field.

“We want to use these games as a way to show appreciation to our military and veteran staff, faculty, students and community,” Bayatpoor said. “We also will be handing out support bracelets to all attendees, and the teams will be wearing military jerseys and caps to show support.”
