RICHARDSON -- UT Tyler track and field record-setter Ed Palencia has been named the American Southwest Conference Outdoor Track and Field Male Athlete of the Week. Palencia, the UT Tyler record-holder for the javelin throw set a new record this weekend in Waco.

The senior from Longview set the program-record with a javelin throw of 62.70 meters at the Michael Johnson Classic in Waco, Texas. More...
