RICHARDSON -- Senior outfielder Joey Cronin was voted the East Division Player of the Year and freshman pitcher Kelsie Batten was named Pitcher of the Year highlighting the 2013 American Southwest Conference softball awards the conference announced Wednesday.

UT Tyler head coach Mike Reed and his assistants, Whitney Wyly, Christy Shipley-Gipson, Coby Gipson and Megan Dobrinski, earned the East Division coaching staff of the year awards after winning the division and finishing as runners-up at the ASC tournament.
