The UT Tyler community is encouraged to participate in this year’s “Heart Walk,” sponsored by the American Heart Association.

UT Tyler students, alumni, faculty and staff may sign up through the UT Tyler Heart Walk team webpage. The team will begin their walk at 9:30 a.m. at Tyler Independent School District’s Robert E. Lee High School track. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

“Our team is joining the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk to promote physical activity among the UT Tyler community,” said Taylor Alvarez, UT Tyler human resources representative who serves as team captain.

Walkers are eligible for awards based on participant level, Alvarez added.
