RICHARDSON -- UT Tyler men's golfer Chapman Herwood has been named the American Southwest Conference Male Golfer of the Week the league office announced Wednesday. Herwood took the top spot at the Louisiana College Fall Invitational this week.

The junior from Tyler shot a final-round 69 to force a playoff for the medalist honors, which he clinched on the sixth-hole.
