ABILENE -- The UT Tyler women's cross country team finished first at the 2013 American Southwest Conference championship on Saturday, the second in program-history. Junior Carly Kitts took the top spot to win the 2013 Individual ASC Championship.

Kitts, a junior from Midlothian finished the race in 23:29.20, the only time in under 24 minutes. The newcomer also won the ASC Newcomer of the Year award.

Sophomore Brittany Brunson finished in sixth-place overall in a time of 25:22.27, while Missy Hebert finished in seventh in 25:30.17. Both Brunson and Hebert were named First Team All-ASC after finishing in the top-10. More...
