RICHARDSON -- The UT Tyler men's soccer team had six players named to the 2013 All-American Southwest
Conference teams the league office announced Tuesday. The Patriots finished the year
with a 10-3-5 overall record, and finished as runners-up in the league.
Headlining the team were senior twin-brothers Elijah and Enoch Shipman, who were each
named First Team All-ASC after impressive final seasons with the Patriots.
Elijah notched First Team honors for the second time in his career, and garnered All-ASC
honors for the fourth time in his career. The senior from Lindale finished 2013 with
three goals, two assists and eight total points.
Brother Enoch was also named First Team, finishing with three goals scored, one assist
for a total of seven points. He was also named the ASC Sportsmanship Athlete of the
Year by the conference coaches.
Joining the Shipmans on the First Team were fellow senior Alfonso Rocha and newcomer
David Lopez-Molinar. More...
