TYLER -- Five UT Tyler volleyball players were named to the 2013 All-American Southwest Conference
teams the league office announced on Monday. The total of five players named to the
All-ASC team is the most since 2008 and the second-most in program history.
Junior Breanna Brummett was named Second Team All-ASC after finishing the regular
season as the conference's leader in kills (404), kills per set (3.54) and service
aces (71 total. .62 per set).
Brummett's 404 kills is the second-most kills in a season all-time in UT Tyler history,
just 40 behind Daneka Waldrep.
Freshman Rebecca Floyd was named Third Team All-ASC after leading the league in assists
with an astounding 1,234 for an average of 10.46 per set. Floyd was the only player
in the ten-team league to average double-digit assists per set. More...
