UT Tyler to Hold “Faculty/Staff Publications and Presentations” Reception

The UT Tyler Robert R. Muntz Library staff will host a reception to honor published faculty and staff of 2014, Jeanne Standley, library executive director, announced.

The campuswide reception will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3 in the Muntz Library, second floor living room. Dr. Ross Sherman, UT Tyler interim provost and vice president for academic affairs, will serve as keynote speaker.

“This event serves as an opportunity for the faculty and staff to receive recognition for works that they do outside the classroom. Students can also learn about the research that their professors do,” said Isabel Altamirano, UT Tyler reference librarian and event coordinator.

Honorees and attendees will be able to view the works of the recipients, as summaries of their works will be on display. Works will include article abstracts, chapters from books, conference presentations and artistic announcements.

Refreshments will be served.
