RICHARDSON -- UT Tyler men's golfer Dayton Cargill has been named the American Southwest Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday. Cargill took first at the St. Mary's Spring Invitational in San Antonio.

Cargill, a senior from Longview claimed medalist honors at the St. Mary's Spring Invitational, leading the Texas-Tyler men's golf team to a fourth-place finish (310-300=610) in the first tournament of the year.
