RICHARDSON -- UT Tyler men's golfer Cody Gilbert has been named the American Southwest Conference's Male Golfer of the Week after finishing as runner-up at the Jekyll Island Individual Tournament this past week.

Gilbert, a Whitehouse native, out-played golfers from some of the top Div. III teams in the country, firing a final-round 71 to finish with a combined 219 for the tournament.

His total was just seven strokes off the leader Gabe Aprati from Illinois Wesleyan, who finished with a combined 212. More...
